BigIron Careers Campaign

This project involved designing an innovative digital platform aimed at connecting aspiring professionals with the heavy industry sector, specifically focusing on careers related to large-scale machinery and infrastructure. The design emphasizes user-friendly navigation, engaging visual storytelling, and intuitive access to career resources, training programs, and industry insights. The goal was to inspire and inform a new generation of workers in heavy industry, fostering increased engagement and opportunities within the "Big Iron" sector.

CAREERS WEB PAGE

Within this project, I designed a Wix-based webpage under the director of the HR team, specifically tailored to showcase career opportunities in the heavy machinery industry. The design process involved implementing particular UX elements, such as a custom drop-down menu, based on specific requests. Due to limitations imposed by the Wix subscription level, certain design aspects and responsiveness issues could not be fully addressed directly within the platform.

While I am proficient in design and understanding of development and coding, working within Wix's constraints was challenging, and I believe that collaborating with a web developer or working with PDFs for a custom build could deliver a more polished, responsive site. Nevertheless, I optimized the available tools to create a functional and visually engaging platform, making the most of the situation. Given the opportunity to redo this project, I might choose a different platform or collaborate more closely with developers for a more seamless experience.

As part of the marketing strategy outlined in the proposal deck, I developed a targeted email campaign to highlight the value-added services offered by John Deere. Dedicated emails were planned for all active bidders, showcasing John Deere Financing and PowerGard™ Warranty options—emphasizing how buyers could still benefit from dealership-level services even when purchasing at auction. To increase visibility, banner ads promoting these services were also to be featured in our weekly newsletter, which reaches all registered bidders. Post-auction, winning bidders would receive a personalized follow-up email congratulating them and introducing them directly to the dealership and a designated John Deere representative, creating a seamless handoff for setting up warranty and financing plans.
